As far as art goes, I've been slow to create new things this year. I do tons of drawings, but mostly they are just examples for the art classes I teach. Most of them wind up being generic looking anime characters in a generic looking anime style, just to show the basics of how to draw anime. Literally I have so many pages of these drawings that I've had to throw a lot away. But as far as actual good finished Illustrations, I don't have a lot! Sometimes health concerns got in the way, like shoulder and back pain, and other times I just didn't feel up to it. Until now!
I've been experimenting with my art style to create something that is truly unique to me and combines everything I like to do. Thick, chunky lines, anime inspired cel-shading, funky proportions, and hand crafted texture. All done in Clip Studio Paint with my own custom brushes that I made myself. Do all of these things mix?

Doing these pieces has got me pumped! I am energized to make more. I just don't have a name for it yet! I'd like to call it something so that people can ask for it specifically. I'm just calling it "Ninjatron Style" until I can come up with something better. Any ideas?
I want to do more characters and scenes and see what else I can do in this style. So I am opening up commissions with the hopes that I'll get the chance to draw more characters based on what people want to see. I don't have all the details on my commissions page updated to show this style yet, but you can take a look there to get an idea of what it'll cost. Or just get in touch personally!
